Intel Remote Wake to Wake PCs by VoIP Calls

Intel announced four new motherboards that will include Remote Wake - the ability for VoIP calls to wake a PC. Similar to Wake-on-LAN or Wake-on-WAN, VoIP provider Jajah announced support for Remote Wake. Orb Networks and CyberLink also announced support for Remote Wake for media management, evidence the technology will likely be used to perform tasks like recording TV programs.
