In past few post, we have discussed a lot about cheap calls to various destinations specially India. Now its time to talk about some free calling offers. Few months back I came across Evaphone, but just skipped the service, because of their poor voice quality, bad design and insufficient information about their free calling service.
Thanks to Mr. Chaturvedi for reminding me about Evaphone. I guess some people will not like the service because it offers only few minutes to some destinations, but for some people it can prove to be a good calling method. Specially for calling those countries where call rates are high.
Evaphone is a Free Pc to Phone calling service. It provides free internet phone calls to almost all countries of the world. To make free calls to your destination, you need to visit Evaphone, dial the destination number.
Evaphone is basically supported by Ads. I think this ads supported calling method is the best option because people don’t mind watching a few seconds ads as long as they are getting free calls.
Evaphone offers different talking minutes for different destinations. Evaphone can be used to make free internet phone calls to India, Pakistan, UAE, Canada, USA, Australia, UK, Afghanistan, list is too long. You name it, you will find it. I won’t recommend you evaphone for calling India as it only offer 30 seconds call.
But yes Evaphone can prove to be a great method for calling countries like USA, UK, UAE, Dubai, Pakistan etc etc where call rates are high and free minutes offered are also quite normal. Additionally you won’t find a good free method to calls mobile phone in various destinations but with Evaphone you can make free calls to Mobiles too. Sometimes, you just want to say hello to your friend or in emergency if you require any free calling service, Evaphone can always be used.
The free minutes mentioned on Evaphone website differs from what they actually provide, amazingly latter being more. So, you can atleast try out your destination if it works good for you.
However Evaphone only allows you to make one free calls per day per IP. You guys already know about using Proxy(to change IP address), so atleast this barrier should not bother you.

In past few days, we have covered a large number of methods and ways to make cheap and free voip phone calls. Another on the list is a old method but it has not been covered on the blog. Mig33 provides the solution (trial credit) to make free calls to anywhere in world (India is included).

Well I am back. Due to some technical issues I was not able to post on my blog, but now am back with lots of cheap and free calling offers. Nerd Vittles has done it again with a fine ariticle on how to make free calls worldwide with Asterisk and Gizmo5 (All calls free). According to the article you will be able call any cellphone or landline in the United States at no cost, as long as it is not on AT&T number!
In fact you can check any of the numbers you call are free calls by checking with Gizmo5’s back door. Nerd Vittles also explains about the carriers who are using the VoIP for their call terminations. I just checked my sprint number and it is free through Gizmo5 back door dialing. Back door dialing is easily accomplished by adding 0101 to the destination number, Just dial 0101 + 10 digit US telephone number.
While the technicalities are too long for a referring article, you can read all at leisure at Nerd Vittles. In addition, the article also tells you how to add Free Calls to 40 Million Asterisk Servers with e164.org. I am proud to say that four of those Asterisk servers are mine and there are about 100-150 that I helped to implement. You might also want to read ASTGizmo to setup Gizmo5 and Asterisk together.

Many of you must be knowing about Ibibo. Ibibo is a social networking website much similar to orkut but having much more features. People from India must be by now using Ibibo to make free STD calls in India. I posted about method to make unlimited std calls that is free calls from India to India using Ibibo. The post received large number of hits.
Now Ibibo has launched imobile. You can now call or send SMSs to anyone anywhere in the world - absolutely FREE! Yes you heard it right. Ibibo can be used to make calls from any country to any country including India, Pakistan, Cuba, Philippines, Dubai. Actually now people from country besides India can also register with Ibibo call for free service (Imobile).
- Send unlimited free SMSs to anyone anywhere in the world.
- Each call can last up to 2 minutes, you start with 10 free minutes of call time.
The only restriction is each call is limited to 2 minutes, however the constraints of 10 minutes can be easily done off by creating multiple accounts.
India can be also called for free using Rebtel Exclusive voucher code (”freepctophone“) but the best part about Ibibo Imobile service is, it can be used to call destinations like Cuba, Philippines, Saudi, Dubai etc where call rates are so high. Even a 2 minute call is charged too much.

Requirements -: Internet connection, Mobile phone.
1. In order to make call to your friend say living in Mumbai, and you living in USA. You need to create two accounts on Ibibo. First your account, second account for your friend. Either make a account for him yourself, or ask him to do the same.
2. For making an account, visit Ibibo. Sign up.
3. Now you need to link up your mobile number to that account. They have a service called iMobile. It is automatically added to your account. Check the left sidebar. You can also visit iMobile directly.
4. Click on link your number.
5. Select your country and enter your Mobile number.
6. They will send you verification Sms.
7. Ask your friend to do the same, or if you are register on his behalf, do same procedure but with his number ( number which you want to call ).
8. Add him as your friend in Ibibo. For that go to his profile, and click add as friend. Ask him to confirm your friendship.
9. To make call to your friend, go to iMobile. It will show you your free remaining minutes and name of friends you can call for free.
10. Click call now in fornt of the your friends name.
11. You call will be connected. They will first call you, then your destination number.
12. Ibibo gives only 10 free minutes every month, after you finish them off. Delink your number by click on the this link.
13. Now register for another account with another email address, with same number. DO the same procedure. You will get 10 more minutes.
14. Do this as many times as you want.
Workaround to make unlimited calls :
- You can create multiple accounts with ibibo and link same number any number of time.
- For each account you get 10 free minutes, if you create 10 accounts you get 100 free minutes.
- To make account with Ibibo, you need not to verify your email address. (use any email id). So account creation takes no more than 30 seconds.
- Earn 3 minutes of call time for every friend invited who join.
